Level 1 Centerboards

American Sailing Institute’s fleet consists of both centerboard sailboats and keelboats. You can view photos of our fleet of sailboats here.

Our 18′ Interlakes are located at both Kensington Metropark and Stony Creek Metroparks.  These centerboard sloops are fast, responsive and ideally suited to teaching sailing and racing. They are simple to rig and sail, and most can be rigged with spinnakers. They are kept in the water for the full sailing season at Kensington Metropark, where we have a fleet of eleven. And at Stony Creek Metropark, where we have four more. They are kept on trailers, ready to be launched and sailed.
